A new direction for CANO

Ever since CANO started in 2016, we have come a long way. Through selling our products, we're able to support our shoe craftsmen and preserve their craftsmanship.

We are so thankful for all the support from our customers and stores that allow us to continue doing this. Now, we feel like it is time for the next step. A new direction for CANO.

We want to expand our collection with new product groups, allowing us to support new makers.

Last year, we started with a small handcrafted jewelry collection. In November, we will launch a new line of silver and gold pieces. The inspiration for the new pieces comes from Mexico itself. For this line, we partnered with a jewelry workshop that aligns with our values. The jewelry is consciously made by Mexican artisans with a love and passion for their craft. The workshop is a comfortable and safe place to work, and they are paid fair wages.

The Aztec collection is inspired by the Aztec calendar, referring to Mexico's rich historic heritage.

The seashell collection is a reminder to value the richness and beauty that Mexican nature offers us. To slow down and allow ourselves to go with the waves of life.

In addition to jewelry, we are also designing other accessories to go with your CANO outfit. Think of card holders, belts and bags. All made of our high-quality, vegetable tanned leather to last you for years.

While we love empowering people in the fashion industry, we also recognize that other artisans in Mexico struggle to continue practising their craft. At the same time, we often hear that people have a need for fairly made home goods. We decided to take this to heart and bring this supply and demand together.

We are very happy to announce that we will be offering a limited homeware collection soon. We're currently creating partnerships with local weavers and glass blowers. It's an exciting creative process and we can't wait to show you the first sneak peeks of the designs!

Even though we are branching out to new product groups, shoes will always be at the core of our brand.

CANO was born out of a love for the huarache and we'll continue bringing this beautiful piece of Mexican craftsmanship to you. We can only do this because of your support. So we hope you keep walking with us in this new step 💛
